Flutter

You want to know how I know I’ve taken on too much? Insomnia. I’ll get a few hours of sleep here and there, and it’s a doozy.

However, it’s in those moments I often find a surge of creativity. The “flow”, as some call it. And while my mind drifts when I’m trying to sleep, it’s at peace when I’m smoothing the first layer of paint or scratching out some pastels. Flutter was the piece that melted the stress. Steadied my heart. And eventually put me to sleep.
